International Undergraduate Geophysics Competition (IUGC) is a biennial event organized by Geophysical Engineering Student Council, ‘HIMA TG “TERRA” ITB’, and SEG ITB SC, that consists of Pre-Event, Seminar, Expo, and Student Competition. IUGC was first held in 2011. Through the year, innovation and changes were implemented to create a better experience for both the committees and the delegates.

On this year’s IUGC, we bring out a whole new concept of IUGC, bigger and better. Introducing, the first International Undergraduate Geophysics Competition ITB 2020 (abbreviated as IUGC ITB 2020), with its grand theme “Developing Innovation Towards Future Sustainable Energy Dependency in Southeast Asia“ as we want to accommodate experts and students from various institutions to share ideas and find the best possible solution to tackle one of the biggest challenge the society ever have, which is energy crisis, by conducting IUGC International Seminar and International Competition.

IUGC ITB 2020 is more than just a Seminar and Competition. We want to give back to society by doing Social Service Activities as one of the Pre-Event, bringing a harmony between this event and the people around us. Moreover, IUGC Career Day and Education Expo is intended to become a platform between companies and people from various backgrounds, especially fresh graduates, who want to know better about the company profile and its career opportunity.

Our future is at risk, and a stance must be made right now. We want IUGC ITB 2020 to be part of that stance which will reshape the foundation of the world and create a better, sustainable future for the next generation.
